Sustainability & Product Stewardship Council Credibility/Certifications & Claims Task Force

<strong>Speaker: <br>Clive Davis, <em style = "color: gray;">Chief, Safer Choice Program Branch, Office of Pollution Prevention & Toxics, US EPA</em></strong> <br><br> EPA’s Safer Choice and Design for the Environment (DfE) programs help consumers and commercial buyers find cleaning and disinfectant products that perform and meet stringent EPA criteria for effects on human health and the environment. The EPA is currently drafting an update to the Safer Choice Standard, which was last revised in 2015. Given the increasing consumer interest in chemicals used in products, the Agency is also considering expanding its certification programs to include additional product categories and a certification for cleaning service providers. This session will discuss EPA’s latest thinking on potential Standard updates and certification program expansions, as well as future program priorities such as outreach.
