This session will bring together raw material suppliers, manufacturers, and marketers of household and professional cleaning and care products. We will cover key Division business, including updates on current projects, industry developments, and ongoing collaborative efforts. Participants will have the chance to engage in discussions that influence the Division’s priorities and future initiatives.
This session will explore the evolving regulatory landscape being shaped by the new EU Regulation (EU) 2025/40 on Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), as well as the updated Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) Regulation, with a specific focus on their combined impact on compliance obligations.
Rosalinda Gioia, Yordas Group, will review recent updates to CLP, specifically the addition of new hazard classes, including endocrine disruptors (EDs); persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic (PBT) substances; and persistent, mobile and toxic (PMT) substances. These classifications affect packaging in several ways, from substance restrictions and labeling to end-of-life treatment.
Manon Pascal, Lindal, will provide a comprehensive overview of the requirements of the PPWR and how those will revolutionize the EU packaging industry
Both experts will provide practical insights for businesses needing to comply with both regulations.

Special Session
As the demand for sustainable packaging grows, the metal packaging industry is focused on improving recycling outcomes and increasing the use of post-consumer recycled (PCR) content. With a particular emphasis on aerosols, this session will bring together experts from across the supply chain to explore the challenges and opportunities in recycling, the current state of the U.S. recycling infrastructure, and ongoing efforts to overcome these barriers. Through an interactive format, attendees will be invited to consider these issues, both as industry professionals and consumers, gaining a broader perspective on how industry can work toward a more circular and sustainable future for metal packaging.
Speakers:
Adapting to a Rapidly Changing Regulatory Environment
This session will help attendees understand how to minimize regulatory compliance risks and accurately report under the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) through data management. Experts will provide strategies for identifying potential compliance data needs while leveraging existing AI solutions.
Speakers:
This interactive working session will focus on advancing one of the Division’s top priorities (to be determined by members). Together, we will collaborate to develop a work product that delivers value to members and supports HCPA’s advocacy in a key issue area impacting antimicrobial products. This session is designed to move from discussion to action – bringing forward member perspectives and expertise to shape an informed, strategic output that will guide the Division’s next steps and influence ongoing engagement with EPA and other stakeholders

The Scientific Committee develops standards and specifications, participates in relevant research efforts, and explores current and potential aerosol technologies. The Scientific Committee also engages with global institutions that impact the storage, trade, and manufacturing of aerosol products to ensure that these practices are safe, effective, and manageable.
Speaker:
The Membership Committee plans and executes the programming of the Aerosol Products Division, maintains and improves the engagement of aerosol members, and recruits new aerosol or aerosol-adjacent companies to join HCPA.
Sponsored by:
The Executive Board oversees the activities of the Antimicrobial Products Division and focuses on strategies to advance and protect the antimicrobial products industry. This session will cover key initiatives, industry challenges, and strategic priorities to ensure the continued growth and success of the sector.
States & Strategy Update
This session will address pesticide activity at the state level, as well as offer time for attendees to participate in a strategic discussion about PRIA 6 and EPA efficiencies.
This session will address the latest developments on volatile organic compound (VOC) regulations and the potential transition to Maximum Incremental Reactivity (MIR) by the California Air Resources Board (CARB), as well as other federal and state regulatory activity related to air quality.
Nicholas Georges will be discussing formulation strategies for MIR compliance across multiple product categories.

The Regulatory Committee develops and advances policies that promote and protect the safe and effective use of aerosol products. The Regulatory Committee engages with state and federal legislators and global stakeholders to promote trade and harmonize laws and regulations. The Regulatory Committee also works to minimize potential disruptions throughout the supply chain and works to improve the sustainability of aerosol products.
This session will explore where Congressional activity on the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) may be headed and how companies can prepare to engage. Topics will include upcoming TSCA reauthorization deadlines, policy improvements under consideration, and legislative activity relevant to chemicals policy.
Speakers:
During this session, representatives from EPA BEAD will provide an update on the Division’s latest activities, including priorities, test method development updates, and outreach efforts.
Speakers:
Rebecca Pines (Invited), Branch Chief, EPA Biological and Economic Analysis Division (BEAD) Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP) Microbiology Laboratory
Donald Wilbur (Invited), Director, EPA Biological and Economic Analysis Division (BEAD) Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP)
Since the 1980s, HCPA has helped develop and maintain both National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and international fire and building codes that allow aerosols to be manufactured, distributed, stored in warehouses, and placed on retailer shelves. HCPA uses sound science to ensure that its positions are credible and compelling to fire officials, insurers, and fire engineering professionals who manage the nation’s complex system of fire and building codes. In this working session, attendees will discuss the latest developments regarding aerosol fire codes and determine the direction for upcoming positions.
Monetizing Carbon Reductions: Building Business Value Across the Supply Chain
Speakers:
During this session, representatives from EPA AD will provide an update on the Division’s latest activities, including priorities and staffing updates.
Speakers:
Fluorinated chemistries provide unique benefits in many end-uses, but certain PFAS have been classified as “forever chemicals” and associated with human health issues. Because of its broad chemical class, PFAS is present across the supply chain and can find their way into products – both intentionally and unintentionally from raw materials, packaging treatments, and through water sources.
During this presentation, attendees will learn about:
Raw material supply chain

Innovation with Care: Data, AI, and the Future of Safer Cleaning and Floor Care Products
Innovation thrives on good data and thoughtful execution. This session will explore how organizations can embrace cutting-edge tools – like generative AI – while also staying grounded in safety, ethics, and real-world impact. The session will begin with insights from a veterinary toxicologist at Pet Poison Helpline, where pet exposure data reveals unexpected risks tied to household products and guides safer product development. Then, we will zoom out to examine how generative AI can amplify this kind of data-driven innovation – accelerating insight generation, reducing time to market, and identifying risk before it reaches consumers. Drawing on case studies, including pet safety data used in cleaning product formulation, this session will explore how gen AI adoption is less about technology and more about the thoughtful use of knowledge – both human and machine – to drive safer, smarter outcomes.
