<strong>Speakers: <br>Jennie Romer, <em style="color: gray;">Deputy Assistant Administrator for Pollution Prevention, EPA’s Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention (OCSPP)</em></strong> <br> Leading EPA’s Pollution Prevention Program, Romer will provide an overview of how the federal government is advancing pollution prevention on a national scale and at community levels through collaboration, partnerships, and grants. Highlights will include opportunities for HCPA members to learn more about EPA programs such as Safer Choice, Environmentally Preferable Purchasing, Pollution Prevention Grants, Green Chemistry Challenge Awards, and more. <br><br> <strong>Kristie Sullivan, <em style="color: gray;">Vice President Education and Outreach, Institute for In Vitro Sciences (IIVS)</em></strong> <br> New Approach Methods (NAMs) are becoming more common and have been used recently to replicate, enhance, or replace animal-based testing data. Unfortunately, government agencies don’t always accept NAMs in place of animal-based testing. This session will address the use of NAMs and discuss plans to increase their regulatory acceptance

This session will address the use of NAMs specifically under PRIA.
