Monday June 23
International Affairs Council Program
This session will explore the evolving regulatory landscape being shaped by the new EU Regulation (EU) 2025/40 on Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), as well as the updated Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) Regulation, with a specific focus on their combined impact on compliance obligations.
Rosalinda Gioia, Yordas Group, will review recent updates to CLP, specifically the addition of new hazard classes, including endocrine disruptors (EDs); persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic (PBT) substances; and persistent, mobile and toxic (PMT) substances. These classifications affect packaging in several ways, from substance restrictions and labeling to end-of-life treatment.
Manon Pascal, Lindal, will provide a comprehensive overview of the requirements of the PPWR and how those will revolutionize the EU packaging industry
Both experts will provide practical insights for businesses needing to comply with both regulations.
