Mark has a PhD in Physical Chemistry and over 30 years experience in the field of specialty fluorine chemicals, where he has been actively involved in the development, testing and approvals of propellants, fire suppression agents, specialty solvents, foam blowing agents and refrigerants. His efforts and accomplishments in these areas are described in 43 U.S. patents and over 135 published papers.

Mark is also a recipient of an Individual U.S. EPA Stratospheric Ozone Protection Award for research and standards development efforts leading to the the elimination of highly ozone-depleting substances.
