
Rebecca Pines
Rebecca Pines serves as chief of the Microbiology Laboratory Branch in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Pesticide Programs Biological and Economic Analysis Division. The primary focus of the Microbiology Laboratory Branch is disinfectant efficacy testing and quantitative efficacy test method development. She and the laboratory work with industry stakeholders, standard setting organizations, and other federal partners to evaluate and promote the use of quantitative efficacy test methods for microorganisms that detrimentally impact public health. Rebecca has been with MLB for more than twenty years, spending much of her time in the laboratory developing standard methods.
