
Kristian Fried
Dr. Kristian Fried has 18 years of experience in consumer product safety and product stewardship and is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Rutgers University, where he teaches risk assessment. He holds doctoral degrees in both chemistry and toxicology. Dr. Fried is certified by the American Board of Toxicology and the European Register of Toxicologists. In his industry career, Dr. Fried has been devoting his expertise to human health sciences, environmental safety and fate, and regulatory toxicology including down-the-drain assessments. He has hands-on experience with U.S. and European agencies and regulations such as the FDA, EPA, Proposition 65, European REACH and CLP regulations, and more. Dr. Fried is a Senior Consultant at Integral Consulting Inc., where he helps clients find safe, sustainable, and science-based solutions to product stewardship issues.

This session will review recent TSCA activity, as well as chemical management activity at the state level. This session will detail the scientific and regulatory developments to watch out for in 2025, including updates on Existing Chemicals under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) and Currently Unavoidable Uses (CUU) of PFAS in Minnesota and Maine.
