Tajah Blackburn
Dr. Tajah Blackburn is a Senior Scientist in the Antimicrobials Division’s Efficacy Branch at the EPA. Serving in the rank of Commander in the U.S. Public Health Service, she brings a background in microbiology and infectious diseases, having earned her Ph.D. from Morehouse School of Medicine. Her extensive training includes post-doctoral work in vaccine development at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and additional degrees/certifications from Johns Hopkins, Temple University, and NC State. Before returning to the EPA in 2018, Dr. Blackburn served as an international pharmaceutical investigator—with assignments spanning Asia, Europe, and Australia—and as a Section Chief within the Department of Homeland Security’s National Biosurveillance Integration Center. Today, she applies this global expertise to the complex challenges of antimicrobial pesticide management and innovations.

Antimicrobial Products Division | Regulatory Committee Meeting
During this session, EPA AD will provide an update on the Division’s latest activities, including priorities and staffing updates. This session will also include an interactive discussion with EPA AD staff about the Emerging Viral Pathogen (EVP) program for antimicrobial pesticides.
