Government Relations & Public Policy Special Session

The Future of Recycled Content: A U.S. and International Perspective

Recycled content requirements are evolving rapidly across the U.S. and around the world, with jurisdictions taking different approaches to increasing the use of postconsumer recycled materials. This session will give attendees a practical look at the current recycled content policy landscape, how requirements are developing across key markets, and what these approaches could mean for the future of U.S. policy.

Panelists will examine current and emerging requirements in the U.S., Canada, and Europe, highlighting the different policy approaches, lessons from implementation, and the practical challenges companies face related to recycled material availability, advanced recycling, verification, chain of custody, and compliance. The discussion will also look ahead to emerging proposals and broader policy trends that could influence the next generation of recycled content requirements in the U.S.

Whether your company operates across multiple markets or exclusively in the U.S., this session will provide valuable perspective on where recycled content policy is headed, how approaches abroad may inform future U.S. requirements, and what companies should be watching now.
